Kay served previously as a member of the IWF Board, and continues to seek opportunities to help young girls and women in Iowa achieve their potential.

Originally from Ohio, Kay came to Iowa in 1967 as a University of Iowa graduate student pursuing her Master of Arts degree in Music. She has been a professional Realtor for more than 30 years and in 2003 became the first female Broker/Owner of Lepic Kroeger Realtors in Iowa City.

Kay has served on many boards for different groups throughout her career. Among them have been the Advisory Board for the Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University of Iowa (president for three years), and the Board of Directors of the Cedar Rapids Opera Theater. She is also a pianist and has both performed and taught for many years.
