The mission of Little Knights Learning Center is to provide a safe, accessible, high-quality childcare center and 3-year-old preschool for families in and around La Porte City, Iowa. The center will be a registered, age 0-12 childcare center designed to accommodate approximately 88 children and managed as a 501c3 nonprofit. The project's timeline is to begin construction in 2024 and open the new facility in fall 2025.

Little Charger Early Learning Center understands how the need for childcare grows exponentially more important for those residing in rural Iowa and childcare deserts. In these areas, such as Guthrie County, it is nearly impossible to find quality, affordable childcare.

The Hawkeye Community College Foundation is a nonprofit organization supporting the mission of Hawkeye Community College: “Empowering students, strengthening businesses, and enriching communities.” Hawkeye’s Foundation supports the education and development needs of students, faculty, and staff by providing resources not available through public funds.

The mission of Wayland Area Childcare Organization is to provide a safe and quality childcare environment with educational, stimulating, and nurturing programs. They aim to enrich the lives of children and families to provide a foundation of positive social skills for lifelong learning.

VIKES stands for Vision, Inspire, Kindness, Encouragement, and Success. This includes supporting children to develop hopes and dreams for their future, praising and providing helpful feedback so that children are successful, teaching children to show a genuine, deep, and selfless concern for others without expecting something in return, inspiring children with courage, spirit, and hope, and finally, teaching children to behave in a way that leaves them happy with a positive mark left on the world.
