Emergency Fund Grant Applications are open for the current calendar year.
Emergency Grants are one-time-only cash awards given to nonprofits and community organizations for immediate emergency needs. Funds are awarded at a maximum of $1,000 and a minimum of $300.
These grants are awarded to organizations that address at least one of the six major barriers to the success of Iowa’s women and girls: childcare, education and training, employment, housing, mentors, and transportation.
Organizations addressing any of these barriers and in need of an Emergency Grant to continue servicing clients are encouraged to apply.
Applications may be submitted at any time, but once all allotted funds have been awarded in a given calendar year, applications will be closed until the following January.
Applying for Emergency Grants
Once you have downloaded the application, please save the unfilled form to your desktop before you begin to complete the information. The application will not save properly unless you save it first on your own device.
If you have saved the final version of your application and you can’t see the type within the box, then neither can the reviewers. Make sure all information fits within each answer box.

Awards must be used within 30 days, and a project completion form must be submitted within 45 days. Organizations are allowed to submit multiple applications but may not receive more than one emergency grant per calendar year.
