Della joined IWF’s Board of Directors in 2006, served as president in 2008, and joined the Advisory Council in 2014.

Della earned her BBA from the University of Iowa and eventually took a position with the University of Iowa Foundation. She oversaw the planning and design of multiple construction projects and campaigns throughout her career, and became a consultant after retiring.

Her unwavering community includes her role as a founding member and past president of the Eastern Iowa Chapter of the International Facility Management Association. She has been an active member and leader in the Pilot Club of Iowa City and helped organize various Pilot Clubs in Eastern Iowa.

Della was also a founding member of the Johnson County Area Women’s Network and is a member of many local organizations, including the Iowa City Chamber of Commerce, Grant Wood Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association, and many more.
