David is a member of the Board and Grants Committee for IWF. He and his wife are long-time supporters of the Foundation—passionate about supporting grantees who lead the way with quality, innovative, inclusive, exemplary programs.
Since the first grade, David has called Iowa his home. He holds a degree from University of Northern Iowa and a Masters in Social Work from the University of Iowa. David has an affinity for human service and worked as an educator, a mediator, and a social work ethics consultant before retiring.
He is also a founder and volunteer for TRAIL of Johnson County, a nonprofit organization that aims to help older residents live and age safely and comfortably in their own homes, and has been continuously involved in local nonprofits for over 30 years. He is also an active member of the Chamber Singers of Iowa City.
