Williamsburg Community Child Care (W4C’s) expanded its existing child care operation by opening a second site (W4C’S North), conveniently located just off I-80 in 2022. The newly 9,000 sq. ft. facility has been fully renovated and provides an additional 88 child care slots bringing the total number of children served to 250 and increasing our capacity by 54%. Children ages 6 weeks -12 years will be served between two sites. Infants and toddlers and children who miss the 3-year old preschool cutoff date will be at the new site, allowing additional slots for 3-12 (pre-k and school age program) to expand at the current location. Grant funds will provide furnishings and materials for one of the two, 2-year old classrooms, which in return will allow us to utilize and bring our 2-year old classrooms to full capacity at the new W4C’S location.
