Architectural Plans for a New Facility

This project is addressing a critical childcare shortage in La Porte City. Over the past ten years, approximately 80 childcare spaces in this community have been lost due to closures of in-home providers, with two more expected to close in the next year. The facility will also offer 3-year-old preschool to the entire community, and La Porte City has been without school-affiliated 3-year-old preschool for two years. By creating more childcare spaces, they will help to empower women in their community to stay in the workforce, rejoin the workforce, or advance their educations. The availability of high-quality childcare will also attract young families, create a more resilient local workforce, and support property values, economic vitality, and school enrollment.
