Lydia first learned about IWF’s mission through former Board President Jen Neumann, and her interest was instantaneous. She has served on the Grants Committee since 2021.

Lydia grew up in Cedar Rapids before earning a BA in Marketing from the University of Northern Iowa. Today she works as the Director of Operations at de Novo Marketing.

Her passion for mentorship shines through her 10+ year involvement as a coach and board member for Girls on the Run of Eastern Iowa and as a mentor for University of Iowa students through Women in Business.

Lydia is especially motivated to help break down barriers in education, training, and mentorship. She believes access to continued education and training, whether from traditional institutions, trade schools or specialized programs, is crucial for self-fulfillment and self-sufficiency. She wants young women to know their potential is boundless and they can achieve anything they set their minds to.
