Amanda first became involved with the Iowa Women’s Foundation through participation in Community Review Panels, later joining the Grants Committee in 2023.

She is the Director of Marketing and Communications at The Iowa Children’s Museum, where she helps advance the organization’s mission to support children’s learning through hands-on, experiential play. Amanda has built her career in the nonprofit sector, with experience spanning fundraising, marketing, and communications. Through her professional and volunteer work, she has supported children and families in many settings, and those experiences have continually reinforced her passion for advancing opportunities for women and girls.

Amanda earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Iowa State University and a Master of Public Administration from Drake University. She lives in the Mount Vernon community with her partner and two children. Amanda is passionate about the Iowa Women’s Foundation’s mission to break down barriers and create pathways for Iowa’s women and girls to thrive.
