Brenda serves on the Grants and Marketing Committees for IWF, and currently works as the Director of Marketing, Communications, and Advocacy for Lutheran Services in Iowa. She has spent much of her career in public relations and marketing for nonprofit organizations—including Four Oaks in Cedar Rapids.

Brenda graduated from Baker University with a degree in Mass Communications and Social Work. She and her husband currently reside in Ankeny, but lived in Cedar Rapids previously—where she was Introduced to IWF through networking. Brenda learned about the mission of IWF and knew it was one she wanted to be involved in.

Brenda volunteers with United Way of East Central Iowa and is passionate about helping women and families overcome various barriers to improve their lives. Whether it’s transportation, childcare, housing, or education, she wants women to be able to access whatever they need to get on their feet and gain confidence, competence, and self-reliance.
