Providing Rural Community Access to After School Programs

Funding for this project will provide a safe and fun place for young girls to go after school and support mothers facing struggles finding child care with an after-school program at Dyersville Elementary. The after-school program will serve approximately 60 students in total. This program will include academics implemented through fun leaning centers that include literacy, stem, and large motor activities. Social emotional learning is infused throughout by teaching responsibility through job assignments, regulating big emotions, and resolving conflict when it arises. Kids learn how to be resilient with skills and experiences that open their minds to all that their future holds.
