Originally from Brooklyn, New York, Linda earned a BS in Elementary Education from the State University of New York at Oneota and an MA in Higher Education and Student Development from Bowling Green State University. Year later, she decided to make a career move and earned her JD from the University of Iowa College of Law. She has been an active supporter of IWF for over a decade.
After 8 years as Assistant County Attorney, Linda began teaching courses, supervising prosecuting interns, and serving as Dean of Students. She founded the Citizen Lawyer Program and currently directs the Law School’s expanding field placement program.
Linda has also been active in the community, serving various organizations including the Emma Goldman Clinic, Iowa Coalition against Domestic Violence, Lt. Governor’s Violence against Women Coordinating Council, Iowa Supreme Court Task Force on Courts’ and Communities’ Response to Domestic Abuse, and many more.
