Nicole currently serves as the Secretary of the Iowa Women’s Foundation. Nicole was first introduced to IWF through the Business and Child Care Coalition, and with a shared mission to strengthen the workforce, it was a natural fit.
Nicole is a native of Blockton, a small community in Southern Iowa, and earned her BA in Political Science from Simpson College. Today she is the Executive Vice President for Iowa Association of Business and Industry (ABI). Previously, she represented Iowa employers as Vice President of Public Policy for ABI—a role focusing on workforce policy issues.
She serves on the Simpson College Board of Trustees, the Healthiest State Initiative Board, the Governor’s Health and Safety Council, and supports programs through ABI that educate students about Iowa’s opportunities.
Nicole is passionate about helping women overcome the childcare barrier, as that is an obstacle she hears about often in her profession. She has also experienced the importance firsthand, as she and her husband are foster parents.
