Funding for this project will support a capital campaign to build a new childcare facility in Guthrie Center, adjacent to the community’s elementary school. This center will be the only licensed facility in Guthrie Center and add approximately 50 new childcare spaces. This is crucial to provide a safe, age-appropriate environment for children to excel in. Three years ago, a group of volunteer women started on this project as just a vision of what could be. A vision to have a childcare facility that would better serve children and their developmental needs. A vision to better serve the elementary school staff, who are a majority women. And finally, a vision to attract and retain new residents, businesses, and employees in Guthrie Center.
