Our project includes both building an addition and retrofitting portions of our existing building to serve 90 additional children in our center (for a total of 180). The additional 4,570 square feet of space would include a new kitchen, restrooms, and five classrooms. The existing kitchen and restrooms would be retrofitted into two additional classrooms. These seven new classrooms will increase our capacity by 90 children. Because the project will be completed in phases, regular service to the existing families served by Wildcat ABC will not be disrupted during construction. These enhancements will allow us to continue our long tradition of providing quality, affordable childcare to the working families within the Carlisle School District. This grant would help us purchase furnishings and electronics necessary for the seven new classrooms including prep tables, storage racks, tables, chairs, bookshelves, storage, and toys.
