Community Review Panelist

Volunteer Opportunity

IWF is dedicated to improving the economic stability of women and girls in Iowa by focusing on six barriers: childcare, employment, housing, transportation, education/ training, and mentorship.

Grantmaking to organizations tackling these barriers is at the heart of IWF’s work. Core Grants are awarded annually to programs that address at least one of the six barriers.  Learn more about Core Grants.

What is a Community Review Panel (CRP)?

An important step in a multi-layered review process used for selecting grant recipient organizations every year.

  1. Eligibility screening
  2. Community volunteer review
  3. IWF Grants Committee review
  4. IWF Board of Directors approval

IWF strongly values community input in our decision-making! The role of the Community Review Panel (CRP) is to assist the Grants Committee and Board of Directors in evaluating areas of greatest need and most effective programming to award grants that further IWF’s mission.
