Quality Care Since 1943
Grin and Grow is a private, non-profit child care agency that was founded in 1943 by the Junior League of Waterloo-Cedar Falls. Originally established as a nursery for the children of women working in local factories during World War II, Grin and Grow has continued to provide child care services to parents of Waterloo since the end of the War.
With two convenient locations in Waterloo, Grin and Grow provides a unique educational experience in a quality environment. Our purpose is to provide affordable child care and preschool services; promote social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth; develop experiences with diversity; partner with parents to optimize their child’s development; and lead the way for a better community.
All classrooms provide programming and activities designed to assist the child with school-readiness by developing their physical, social-emotional and cognitive skills. Parents are invited to actively participate in their child’s classroom experience.
Grin and Grow Ltd is continually amazed at all the support given to us by various organizations, like the Iowa Women’s Foundation. This support gives us the opportunity to provide a quality early childhood education to children in the Cedar Valley who are between the ages of infant thru preschool. Our employees and families celebrate diversity and work hard every day to make a difference in our community.
