Principal Financial Group®, the Iowa Women’s Foundation, and other women-led organizations are joining forces to host Alyson Richman and Shaunna J. Edwards — co-authors of The Thread Collectors.

Inspired by the authors’ family histories, The Thread Collectors is set in 1863 and tells the story of Stella and Lily, two women whose paths converge in New Orleans amid the Civil War. As they risk everything for love and freedom, they discover that even the most delicate threads have the capacity to save us.

Attendees will hear from the authors during a moderated conversation and will have an opportunity to network, take photos with the authors, and get a signed copy of the book.

The event is FREE to attend, but advance registration is required to ensure there is enough space for everyone to enjoy the event. Coffee, tea and sweet treats will also be provided.
