_iwf7530With a focus on “replacing barriers with pathways,” the 20th Annual IWF Luncheon took place on Monday, September 19 at the Coralville Marriott Hotel and Conference Center.  IWF was delighted to welcome ABC and NPR political commentator Cokie Roberts as keynote speaker, who earlier in the day met with Luncheon sponsors and Leadership Circle members for a “Coffee with Cokie” reception.

The Annual Luncheon was also an opportunity to recognize the eighteen Iowa organizations receiving a total of $108,000 in grant funding from IWF this year.  Jasmine Babers, founder of LOVE Girls magazine and past recipient of an IWF grant, spoke about the importance of breaking down barriers for women and girls.  Lois James shared reflections on her motivation for pledging a matching gift from James Investment Group, Inc.

Thanks to all who attended and support this year’s Luncheon.  Our 21st Annual Luncheon will take place on Thursday, October 5, 2017, and tickets will be available on the IWF website in the months prior to that.  We hope to see you there!
