15 years, 15 milestones
The Iowa Women's Foundation was founded on August 27, 1994. A meeting of 27 women to discuss the benefits of establishing a statewide foundation that would meet the needs if Iowa women and girls resulted in a unanimous affirming vote.With eager spirits and eyes to the long road ahead, the Founders got to work.
Beginning with our anniversary date today, IWF will be commemorating the 15 years of investments, collaboration and advocacy that started with a simple meeting by posting 15 daily online celebrations of milestones on the path to equal rights for women and girls.
