What is the IWF?
The mission of the Iowa Women's Foundation is to improve the lives of Iowa women and girls through the power of philanthropy, advocacy and collaboration.
During the past 15 years, the IWF has awarded over 1/4 of a million dollars to 71 projects in 69 of the 99 Iowa counties.

The History of Women Funding Women
This video was inspired by historian Dr. Sally Roesch Wagner who brilliantly determined to preserve and document the writings of suffragist Matilda Joslyn Gage. In the 19th century, Gage complained that women of means funded their husbands' alma maters, churches and the ballet, but rarely stepped forward to fund their suffragette sisters.
