She holds a masters degree in social work with an emphasis in nonprofit management and community organizing from the University of Michigan. She has demonstrated success in designing, developing and financing programs that meet community needs."For years I worked with women struggling to overcome abuse, discrimination and lack of education.  My frustration with a system that restricts and overburdens women led me to IWF.  The success of our grant partners demonstrates our capacity as a community to develop a new norm for women.  As a mother of twin daughters, I am committed to introducing them to a world of equality and limitless possibility."
