Pat Schnack
Iowa City School District
English Teacher, Retired
Following a 25 year career as an English teacher in the Iowa City School District and several summerlong overseas excursions to teach ESL, Pat Schnack’s passion for education has not diminished. Surely, focusing on education and lifelong learning will be a motivating factor for her as one of Iowa Women’s Foundation’s newest board of directors. Having previously served on an IWF Grants Committee, Pat says
“I’m thrilled to be on the board now.”
A native Minnesotan, Pat came to Iowa for college, married, moved to Iowa City where she and her husband raised four sons. Eventually, the couple retired to enjoy more travel time and getting involved in community efforts.
