50% Solution Awards
Created in 2006, Iowa Women’s Foundation 50% Solution Awards recognize exceptional contributions made to advance women and girls throughout the state of Iowa. The future of Iowa is inherently tied to opening doors of opportunity to ensure that women have both the life and career supports they need to be successful personally and to maximize their contributions to the economic vitality and quality of life in their own communities.
Annual awards are presented in three categories: individual, businesses and nonprofit organizations. Self nominations are accepted.

Public voting for the finalists ended on September 15, 2009. Thank you to the more than 600 people that cast their vote! All nine finalists were acknowledged and the recipient in each category was announced at the 13th Annual Luncheon on October 16, 2009.
